Nestling in the town centre near the Church of St Juliens is The Old Post Office hotel,probably built in 1568 by George Proud, a draper, who was a bailiff of Shrewsbury in 1569. The old post office is grade II listed Tudor building dating back in part to 1568. A warm and welcoming atmosphere is provided at the OPO. Recently fully refurbished to a high standard, retaining its character & charm.
