Trelawn has been owner operated for 25 years, offering genuine Kiwi hospitality, by two people that enjoy travel themselves. The number of return visitors, is a gratifying testimonial to peoples satisfaction. The building of the House and cottages, a labour of love, using local schist rock to create a warm cosy comfortable colonial style, "Home away from Home."
The House and cottages face North West to take advantage of the sunshine and stunning views. The original gold miners cottage is still on the property and has been kept as record of the site's historic past. The extensive grounds feature pools and waterfalls, and tracks to the river. The cottage garden has roses and flowering shrubs, and in the spring hundreds of Daffodils, Iris and Tulips provide a colourful display.
In Autumn the reds and gold's of the leaves are magnificent in the whole area. With 3 large King sized rooms and 2 spacious cottages guests will never feel crowded. But the cosy breakfast and sitting rooms, with the outdoor seating areas gives you the opportunity to socialize with other guests. All rooms are furnished with antique style furniture, and country style decor. Every item for your comfort and convenience has been included. Breakfast is a delicious selection of home made goodies, with a generous cooked course as well.
Guests can catch up with their washing with a fully equipped laundry, and collect their emails from the guests computer. The manicured lawn stretches to the rivers edge where, in total privacy guests can enjoy a six person therapy Jacuzzi spa pool. A large octagonal Gazebo, takes full advantage of Trelawn's stunning river view, and makes a shady place to relax. Some guests prefer to have a candle light dinner here with dishes from the Restaurant meals delivery service that is available. The self contained cottages, make an perfect choice for those wanting more privacy or for a longer stay. The Cottage has two bedrooms, making it ideal if you are travelling with children. Breakfast ingredients are supplied daily, to prepare in your little kitchen.
For those that would like help in organising their stay in the Queenstown area, there is a select range of brochures available for you to browse. Or simply ask your hosts to make suggestions. They can co-ordinate activities to make best use of time and money. There is a helipad for Helicopter Sightseeing, or even airport transfers.
Trelawn Place has been used as a wedding venue for many years and is ideal for the small intimate wedding, to the larger function requiring a Marquee and Caterer. Trelawns "wedding package" is suited to the smaller Elopement or Renewal of Vows, or anyone wanting to leave all the arrangements to the experts.
