The Portland Art Museum is the oldest art museum in the Pacific Northwest and, since its founding in 1892, has amassed a diverse collection numbering over 33,000 objects and works of art. This “collection of collections” comprises primarily gifts from generous donors and smaller collections purchased in their entirety.
