The Conseil General des Alpes-Maritimes commissioned the well-know Japanese architect kenzo Tange to desing a museum. It was to be a place of exchange between Asian art and Western culture.
Located close to Nice's international airport, on the edge of a seven hectare floral park, the museum is open to the public every day except for Tuesdays
