Lusaka

The main attraction of Zambia lies not in the towns but in the natural wonders and sights outside and as such the towns are largely just useful places to stay whilst in transit.

Lusaka is by far the largest city in Zambia; it is the capital, heart of government, centre of commerce and the place you will likely land on arrival in Zambia. There is not much here to hold the visitor, some half decent hotels, the National Museum and the markets - which are always lively - are worth a look, really, though, it is just a place to charge the batteries before heading out into the wilds.
